Privacy and cookies
Last updated 8 October 2026
Hyntable does not use cookies, does not ask you to sign up and does not collect your name or email address while you play.
Who we are
Hyntable (hyntable.com) is run by an independent developer based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at hello@hyntable.com. For UK data protection law, we are the controller of the small amount of personal data described below.
What is stored on your device
To save your game, Hyntable uses your browser’s local storage. This is similar to a cookie, but it stays on your device and is never sent to us. It holds:
- today’s guesses for each game, so a refresh doesn’t lose your progress
- your statistics: games played, wins, streaks and guess distribution
- a small marker used when a test version is reset
This storage is needed for the game to work as you’d expect, so we don’t ask for consent for it. You can clear it at any time in your browser settings (on an iPhone: Settings, Safari, Advanced, Website Data). Clearing it resets your progress and streaks.
Visitor statistics
We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It does not use cookies or local storage and does not track you across other websites. It records information such as the page viewed, the referring site, your browser and device type, and your country. We use this only to see how many people play and which pages they use.
Hosting
The site is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes your IP address and basic request details to deliver the pages and protect the service. We do not use this information to identify you.
If you email us
If you email hello@hyntable.com, we receive your email address and your message. Our email is provided by GoDaddy. We use it only to reply, and delete it when it is no longer needed.
What we don’t do
- We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies.
- We don’t sell or share your data for marketing.
- We don’t knowingly collect information from children.
If we add advertising in future, we will update this page and ask for your consent first where the law requires it.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete personal data we hold about you, and you can object to how we use it. Email us to do this. If you’re unhappy with our response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
